Here  is another compilation of mine sourced from my vinyl and CD collection...way back.
I love historic recordings and the wonderful story of its past...Here are some selected gems from the 1930's 40's and 50's that are well worth a listen or two...Over half are instrumentals...with catchy hooks ...Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, some hip novelty tunes and lots of great playing...in the days when the one-cut performance was a must...even if it took numerous takes ! 
I'm a great lover of the Saxophone and feature some of the masters here...Tenors : Lester Young , Ben Webster, Jimmy Forrest, Red Prysock et al...Altos : Johnny Hodges and the King of R&B Louis Jordan. 
Charlie Christian, a favourite of mine and an early innovative electric guitarist, appears on the Benny Goodman tracks. Enjoy - Gus
