Antonio Forcione: Live !
Guitarist Antonio Forcione has stunned European audiences for years. On his twelfth release, Live!, Forcione showcases music from his previous albums and introduces three previously unrecorded tracks. His wizardry on nylon, fretless and steelstring guitars is mesmerizing.
This mostly solo date – only two tracks feature percussionists Rony Barrak and Nic France – is a great introduction to this versatile guitarist.
Recorded live at The Vortex in London in March 2000, the album features nine of Forcione’s favorites along with Whitfield and Strong’s “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.” From the placid easiness of “Sereno” and “Nocturne” to the rousing, audience-stirring “Acoustic Revenge,”
Forcione plays magically.

I first got a CDR copy from a friend (back in c.2000)...Never heard of the guy ! But boy was I surprised,,,It's demanding listening...intense intimate very atmospheric and beautiful ...He has the chops...and incorporates many influences both musical and cultural...he even plays a few cool blues licks...If you love class music by another guitar master give it your ear... I get a similar vibe from Jaco Pastorius (my fave Bass man) They would have created magic together !  ...As it's a must have...flac & mp3 - Gus
