You may remember the Lee Sankey Band album Tell Me There's A Sun which featured singer/guitarist Ian Siegal. That project was a one off collaboration but the two still tour and play together on occasion. Meanwhile Ian formed his own band and continued with the development of his dark blue and sometimes disturbing vision. To say this work is dense is barely scratching the surface. The variety of textures and sounds here are truly remarkable and Siegal's band of excellent musicians have clearly bought into the vision. Startling beauty and terrible pain exist side by side in this world, at times you are tempted to sing along until you realize the actual content of the lyric and...well try The Queen of the Junior Prom and you will see what I mean.
Ian ‘Siegal’ Berry - Vocals; Acoustic, Electric & National Steel Guitars; Bass & Percussion
Andy Graham - Upright & Electric Bass; Percussion
Enrico ‘Mick’ Morena - Drums & Percussion
Richard Simmons - Piano; Hammond Organ; Keyboard
Nick Payn - Tenor, Alto & Baritone Sax; Flute; Harmonica
Sid Gauld - Trumpet, Cornet; Flugel Horn
John ‘Boat’ Beecham - Tuba; Trombone
Big Mart Winning - Clarinet; Tenor Sax
Frank Mead - Tenor Sax
Slim - Accordion
Jim Morrison - Violin

The perfect weekend soundtrack! I have to admit I was hoping for a Siegel follow up and will permasmilingly get ready to check this out now. Thank you and Emile again for introducing me to "Tell me there`s a sun" and for opening a new Siegel chapter. Thanks KC!
Nice one KC - I know (and have played) with some of these guys - I have seen Ian play a concert hall with just an acoustic guitar ( sound like an authentic Wolf and Muddy !) and completely charm the audience - A nice guy who is a big fan of my friend Earl Green ( as Earl is of him) - A great talent See him here with a nice band featuring one of the UKs finest blues guitarists Matt Schofield ( well worth checking him out too )

Ahhh gman, you caught my mental fart, for some reason I always make that mistake.
Ooouugh KC, I am sorry, but I realy mean what I wrote - never meant to hurt your feelings. I remember emile was in the mix because the album realy means something to me. Just tried to express the moment of hapiness when I saw your post. If I sound weird at times please consider that english is not my first language - but you definetly made no mistake! Thank you again KC!
Actually we are both confused - I thought you were referring to my calling it Tell Me There's No Sun rather than A Sun, you were right about Emile.....never mind
