The fact that this band played in my country last week, gave me the idea to post this album, which i played so many times in former days....Beautiful progressive rock... Mirage is Camel's second album, released in 1974. It features some of their best-known songs, including "White Rider" and "Lady Fantasy". It is also a showcase for Andrew Latimer's flute, notably on "Supertwister". There are five tracks on Mirage, two over 9 minutes. Those two are multi-part songs: "Lady Fantasy" and "Nimrodel/The Procession/The White Rider", the latter being about The Lord of the Rings. The album was released on Gama Records/Deram Records.
1."Freefall" (Peter Bardens) – 5:53
2."Supertwister" (Bardens) – 3:22
3."Nimrodel/The Procession/The White Rider" (Andrew Latimer) – 9:17
4."Earthrise" (Bardens, Latimer) – 6:40
5."Lady Fantasy" (Bardens, Latimer, Andy Ward, Doug Ferguson) – 12:45
"Encounter"
"Smiles for You"
"Lady Fantasy"
Andrew Latimer – guitars, flute, vocals on "Nimrodel/The Procession/The White Rider" and "Lady Fantasy"

Thanks peer -
I gave up with rock bands and got more into blues funk and the emerging jazz fusion scene in the early 70s - I still don't think rock got any better than early Led Zeppelin - And I still haven't heard a band to surpass the early days - But I'd heard these guys were worth a listen - So thanks for the opportunity
Cheers
Gus, just listen to "Lady Fantasy" and you know why i loved this band so much back in 1974....I didn't even know they (still) excist...but appearantly they do, 'cause they gave a concert here last week (which i missed, elas)
